1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: phone number (used to sign in and secure your account), display name, and email address (used for account recovery).
• Profile content: your photos, date of birth, gender, occupation, the activities you're interested in, and details about yourself such as appearance, orientation, education, and languages, plus any optional lifestyle preferences you choose to add. Your zodiac sign is derived from your date of birth.
• Intention: your stated mode, Dating or Experience.
• Events: if you create an event, we store the details you enter and an optional cover photo you upload.
• Outings: if you post an outing, we store the details you provide and the responses to it.
• Reports: if you submit a user or message report, we store the reason you provide along with the relevant user and message identifiers.

Information collected automatically

• Location (when you go live): your GPS coordinates, which we use to determine your approximate displayed position and who is nearby. By default, other users do not receive your exact coordinates. An optional "precise location" mode exists; enabling it shows your exact position to other precise-location users only, after an explicit warning.
• Presence metadata: time you went live, filter preferences you've set, and your visibility settings.
• Device identifier: a push notification identifier for your device, used to deliver notifications.
• Usage data: standard technical logs, such as IP address and activity timestamps.

2. How we use your information

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To show your presence dot on the map to other opted-in nearby users (at an approximate position).
• To find people near you who match your filters.
• To enable group experiences with other nearby users.
• To deliver push notifications, such as relevant nearby activity, invitations, and new messages.
• To suggest activities for group experiences.
• To process and investigate abuse reports.
• To maintain safety features including user blocking and message blocking.

3. How we share your information

With other users

When you go live, other opted-in nearby users can see your presence dot (an approximate position by default, or your exact position only if both you and they have enabled precise location) and the profile information you choose to show, such as your name, age, and photos. Users you have blocked, or who have blocked you, cannot see your presence and you cannot see theirs. This exclusion applies across the entire Service.

With service providers

• Cloud infrastructure provider: hosts our service and stores your data on its managed infrastructure.
• Push notification service: we share a device identifier with your platform's notification service to deliver notifications.
• AI service provider: we send limited, anonymized context to generate activity suggestions. These requests never include your name, phone number, or account identifiers.
• SMS provider: we share your phone number with an SMS provider to deliver your sign-in verification codes.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RealViv, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

4. Location privacy

Location privacy is a core design principle of RealViv:

• By default, others see only your approximate position, never your exact location. The only exception is precise location mode, which shares your exact position only with users who have also turned it on.
• Your exact location is retained only for the duration of your active presence session.
• Your live presence expires automatically after a limited time.
• Going offline, signing out, or backgrounding the app clears your presence immediately.
• Precise location mode is strictly opt-in, behind an explicit warning alert, and your precise position is only visible to other users who have also opted in.

5. Data retention

• Presence data: cleared when you go offline or when your session's time limit elapses, whichever comes first.
• Profile data: retained for the life of your account.
• Messages: retained indefinitely unless you delete your account.
• Safety records: information needed to protect our users and keep the community safe is retained for as long as necessary for safety, security, and legal purposes.
• Account deletion: you can delete your account and associated data at any time directly in the app (Profile, Delete Account), or by contacting us at contact@realviv.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• Encryption in transit: your data is encrypted while it travels between the app and our servers.
• Encryption at rest: your stored data is encrypted.
• Strict access controls: each user can only access the data they are permitted to see.
• Protected reports: once submitted, abuse and safety reports cannot be read, altered, or deleted by any user.
• Passwordless sign-in: we never store account passwords, so there are none to leak.
• Location protection: other users only ever see an approximate position on the map, never your exact coordinates. Your precise position is shown only if you explicitly enable precise-location sharing.
• Photo and profile screening: photos and profiles are reviewed to help keep the community safe.
• Community safety controls: in-app reporting and user blocking are available throughout the app, and our team can restrict or suspend accounts that violate our Terms.

No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

RealViv is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at contact@realviv.com.

8. Your rights and choices

• Go offline anytime: tap the go-offline button to remove your presence from the map immediately.
• Block users: blocking is mutual: you disappear from each other entirely.
• Delete your account: in the app via Profile, Delete Account, or contact contact@realviv.com.
• Notification opt-out: manage push notifications in iOS Settings, Notifications, RealViv.
• Location permissions: you control location access in iOS Settings, Privacy, Location Services, RealViv. Revoking location access will prevent presence features from working.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, provide notice through the app or via push notification. Your continued use of RealViv after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
